COWAN, George Lawrence Patterson, has peacefully left us, by the ocean at his beloved Ākitio Beach on Wednesday 1st November 2023.

Adored husband of the late Muriel .

Dearly loved father of Rebecca, Kirstin and Stuart and father-in-law to Stephen and Peter. Cherished grandfather of Gemma and Joe, Amy, Georgia, Ashleigh and Caleb, great grandfather of Leila and Tyson.

Special thanks to the Ākitio Fire Brigade especially Bill Fergus, also Ngāti Kahungunu especially Hayden and Vanessa Hape, your kindness has been very much appreciated.

In accordance with George’s wishes a private cremation has been held.
