Passed away peacefully on Thursday 7th May 2026 at Palmerston North Hospital,

as he spoke his final words “I want to go to sleep” in his 90th year.

Adored husband of the late Rua;

Loved father and father-in-law of Laurance (deceased) and Viv, Wayne and Kelsy, Iona and Willie, Steve and Stella (deceased).

Special Dad to Thomas Kamura;

A treasured Grandad and Great grandad.

A special thanks to Tracy of Lavender Blue and other staff for the love and care they have given to Bill.

Bill will be laying at home, 54 Allardice Street, from Tuesday afternoon until the day of his service which will be held at the Kowhai Chapel, 51 Denmark Street, Dannevirke on Thursday 14th May at 11.00 am followed by interment at the Mangatera Lawn Cemetery.
